The United States Practical Shooting Association (USPSA) is the U.S. affiliate of the International Practical Shooting Confederation (IPSC). The IPSC was founded in 1976 to promote and support practical shooting around the world. There are over 60 countries from all the continents currently affiliated with the IPSC. Membership in the USPSA also includes membership in the IPSC, one of the largest sporting organizations in the world.

The USPSA is by far the largest affiliate of the IPSC. As a member of the USPSA you are joined with a brotherhood of over 14,000 other shooters nationwide who compete in the most exciting shooting sport on the planet. The USPSA consistently features the world's greatest shooters!
The USPSA is broken down in to eight geographical "Areas" governed by an Area Director. Each Area is then broken down in to "Sections" of clubs that are in close geographical proximity to each other. Each Section has a Section Coordinator who oversees the activities of the clubs in the Section.

The South Florida Section is a member of Area 6 which includes the States of Florida, Georgia, Alabama, North Carolina, South Carolina, Mississippi, and Tennessee. The South Florida Section includes all the clubs in Florida from Martin County south to the Keys and over to Charlotte County. There are currently seven clubs in the Section. | |
